Dogs are delighted to receive these delicacies for good behavior. Or, just for being a friend —

Peanut Butter Doggie Treats

2 cups whole wheat flour
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 banana, mashed
¼ cup whest germ
½cup oat milk (perhaps because regular dairy is not great for dogs; almond milk or soy milk should also be okay)
¼ cupcanola oil

1. Preheat oven to 350° F.   Lightly grease a baking sheet.
2. Mix together flour, peanut butter, banana, wheat germ, milk, and oil until evenly moist but not sticky.  Knead until smooth.
3. Roll out the dough and cut into favorite shapes with cookie cutters.
4. Place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 350° F until lightly browned, 12 to 15 minutes, or a little longer for a crunchy cookie.
5. Cool completely.
