Dogs are delighted to receive these delicacies for good behavior. Or, just for being a friend —

canine cookies (for dogs)

3½ cups flour                          
2 cups whole wheat flour                         
1 cup rye flour                             
2 cups unprocessed wheat                                     
1 cup com meal                                     
½  cupinstant non-fat dry milk                           
3 tablespoons salt                                  
1envelope active dry yeast                 
1 teaspoon dry beef bouillon                                                                         
¼ cuphot water
2 eggs, beaten with 2 tablespoons 
few drops red food coloring                             
3 ½cups chicken broth 
              
1. Preheat oven to 300° F.   In a large bowl, combine first 7ingredients. 
2. In a separate bowl mix yeast,  bouillon,and hot water until yeast and bouillondissolve. Add egg mixture and food coloring.  Mix well.
3. Add 2 cups of the broth and  yeast mixture to flour mixture.
4. Mix with hands until dough is quitestiff. If dough is too firm,  addmore broth.
5. On a well-floured surface, roll, out dough to 1/3-inch thickness. Cutinto shapes of bones, fire hydrants,slippers, or doughnut  holes.
6. Place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 300° F until brown at edges,approximately forty minutes.            
7. Turn oven off and leave cookies inoven overnight.

Yield: 6 dozen
