Passionate Cherry Champagne Punch |
1 jar maraschino cherries plus 6 ounces maraschino liqueur
or 1 tin of black cherries plus 6 ounces kirsch
1 bottle Chablis
2 tablespoons of sugar
Juice of 1 orange, strained
Juice of 2 lemons, strained
3 cups ginger ale
2 bottles pink champagne, chilled
In a glass or some equally non-reactive container, soak the cherries of choice in the white wine and sugar, leave in refrigerator all day. When ready to make punch, combine marinated fruit and wine with liqueur in a punch bowl, stir well. Add fruit juices and ginger ale. Add chilled champagne just before serving. Pour into stemmed wine glasses, and enjoy!
