A favorite waffle recipe from Eugene & Betty Schulte in Bridgeport, Texas. We have two Twin-o-Matic* Waffle irons from the Schultes.
Schulte
Waffles
1 ¾ cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2 beaten egg yolks
1 ¾ cups milk
½ cup salad oil
2 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preheat
waffle iron.
Sift together dry ingredients (flour,
baking powder, and salt).
Combine beaten egg yolks, with milk
and salad oil.
Stir liquids into dry ingredients.
Fold in beaten egg whites, leaving a
few fluffs.
Bake in your favorite waffle iron.
